Spotlight: The Maxi Dress

If Summer had a voice it would scream one thing, and one thing only: dresses! The hot weather is the perfect occasion to set aside your warmer clothes and pull out your dresses. More specifically, a trend that I have been eyeing this past year has been the maxi dress. I think its length gives an effortless appeal, making it look like you've spent a long time getting ready when you actually just slipped it on. (Shhh!)

  

Perfect for a night out, a shopping trip with your best girlfriends or even for a date, the simplicity of the maxi dress gives you plenty of room for accessories! Whether it is with a bold necklace, a purse, a statement pair of high heels or even some sneakers, the maxi dress can easily be dressed up or down. The Perfect Makeup Bag

Whether I am going on vacation, sleeping over at a friend's house or going to the gym, I always need to bring my makeup. I used to struggle finding a makeup bag that would be the perfect size; fitting all the makeup I wanted to bring, but without being too big. I don't like to be limited, especially when I am on vacation, and so I tend to bring more makeup in case I decide to go for a different look. At one point, I would even carry my makeup in two smaller makeup bags, which would end up taking up even more space.

Thankfully, as I was looking around in the aisles of winners, I came upon these Betsey Johnson makeup bags. They usually retail for about $50, but being from a discontinued line, they were on sale at $14,99 each.

I absolutely love the flower prints and find these beauties to be the perfect size. I can fit in my brushes, my customized Mac palette and even my Urban Decay Naked palette, along with all my other products that I use on a daily basis. Plus, they don't take up too much space.
